Adat Chaverim
is moving in the right direction!
In 2008, Adat Chaverim began celebrating all of its Shabbat and holiday festivities at the American
Jewish University (formerly known as the University of Judaism), where we currently lease space. Large scale events
like Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Services will be held in the beautiful and traditional Matthew Berman Chapel,
with its wooden benches and woven wall hangings. More intimate gatherings will take place in the private dining
room featuring a wall of windows overlooking the lights of the San Fernando Valley.
The most important
benefit of having moved to AJU is its phenomenal location right off the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass.
Cultural Jews throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area now have an easier commute whether they are coming from the
San Fernando Valley or the West Side. This will make it more realistic for a much larger portion of the population
to attend Adat’s rich cultural offerings on a regular basis.
